PATCHS online consultation service
For routine medical matters or administration requests we recommend patients use PATCHS.
PATCHS online consulation service provides a convenient way for patients who don't need an urgent appointment to contact us at a time when it suits them. You can submit routine medical requests 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. We aim to respond to requests within 72 hours and during surgery opening hours.

Please be aware that the phone lines are very busy between the hours of 8.00am to 9.00am, and 12.00pm to 1.00pm. When booking an appointment, we have asked the reception team to ask you for brief details regarding your medical problem. This will allow you to be directed to the right member of the team, whether that be a Doctor, Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Nurse, Healthcare Assistant or a member of the administration team.

Book on the day appointments
If your matter is urgent for the same day, these appointments are released daily at 8.00am for a telephone call back with a Clinician the same morning. Further appointments are then released at 12.00pm for a call back with a Clinician in the afternoon. The Clinician may need to see you face to face after your initial phone appointment, this could be the same day, but will be arranged by the Clinician as appropriate.
Please be aware the phone lines are very busy between the hours of 8.00am to 9.00am, and 12.00pm to 1.00pm.
Routine appointments
If your matter is not urgent for the same day, we advise you to use the PATCHS online consultation service. If you are not able to use PATCHS, or prefer to telephone, we advise that you call when the phone lines are less busy, between the hours of 10.00am and 11.30am or 1.30pm and 6.30pm.
Routine appointments are also available to book online.
Evening & Weekend Appointments
Known as Extended Access appointments, are available at your locality hub, Rastrick Health Centre.
We are working together with our neighbouring practices to offer patients increased access to routine evening and weekend appointments with GP’s, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Nurses and other healthcare professionals from localy based hubs.
Extended access appointments are held at Rastrick Health Centre, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8.00pm and on Saturdays 9.00am to 5.00pm. If you need an appointment at one of these times please ask a Northolme receptionist who will be able to book an appointment for you.

To CANCEL an extended access appointment when the Northolme Practice is closed, please call 01422 893204, or you can use the online service to cancel the appointment.

By using the extended access appointments service you are consenting for the Locality Hub (Rastrick Health Centre) to have access to your medical record for the purpose of your appointment.
Cancel an Appointment
If you need to cancel an appointment, please cancel as soon as possible via the online service. You can cancel appointments using the Airmid app, NHS app, or SystmOnline.

If you don't have online access, please cancel your appointment via reception on 01422 205154 or 01422 206121.
Missed appointments
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason it is very important that you cancel and inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the appointment slot to someone else.
If you fail to attend 2 appointments, we will write to you advising that you have missed appointments and are at risk of being removed from the practice list if further appointments are missed.
Failure to attend 3 appointments in a 12 month period may result in removal from the practice list and you may have to find an alternative GP practice.
